Elemental Spells is the bulk of the pack and it splits by element, each one given the same depth rather than one flagship and three afterthoughts: ice 26, fire 23, lightning 22, arcane 16. The pack downloads as four category folders with the elements as subfolders, not a flat dump of 112 files — so finding "the ice one" doesn't start with a search.
Why it's built this way
Most spell libraries give you one element properly and treat the rest as filler — a deep fire section, then four ice sounds and a token zap. Cast anything but the flagship element and the game suddenly sounds cheaper.
RuneVault is built so every element carries the same weight. Fire, ice, lightning and arcane each get the full arc a spell actually needs: the charge, the cast, the travel, the impact and the tail. Swapping which element your mage leads with is a design decision, not an audio problem. And because a spell is never the whole scene, the dungeon it's cast in, the stinger on the loot and the menu you back out to are in the same pack, built in the same pass by the same person, so they sit together.
How it was made
- No AI, ever. No generative audio, no AI-assisted synthesis. Every sound was designed by hand.
- One standardised master chain. Every file goes through the same deterministic normalise → QC → package pipeline: 44.1 kHz / 16-bit PCM, a −1.3 dBTP ceiling, a 20 Hz high-pass, and shaped TPDF dither.
- Measured, not eyeballed. Every file is checked for true peak (ITU-R BS.1770 / EBU R128 style true-peak metering), DC offset, crest factor and clipping before it ships — the same pipeline that shipped Sci-Fi Core and DreadScape, unchanged for this pack.
